Performance With Oshkosh Chamber Singers-Our Voice: Music of Contemporary Midwest Composers

Last year, I attended a concert by The Oshkosh Chamber Singers. I was struck by the program of rather difficult pieces that were performed with a high level of execution while maintaining a joyful and emotionally charged dynamic core. Of course, under the direction of Herb Berendsen!
One piece in particular brought tears to my eyes that streamed down uncontrollably. John Harmon was at the concert along with his wife. After another piece was finished, John’s wife nudged me and pointed to John. He was moved to the same condition as me. A beautiful experience which I’ll never forget.
Fortunately, both John and I were asked to perform with this group on October 28th 2017. Some of John’s pieces will be featured and we’ll be performing a few together. We’re looking forward to this concert and hope you’ll join us. Information below.
