Janet Planet w/ Mike Kubicki Group – Jazz Estate- Milwaukee Tribute To Nancy Wilson

Nancy Wilson influenced my singing as she had many other jazz singers who first heard her sense of phrasing, intonation and bell tone sound.
She was a defined singer and sounded like no one else.
We’ll be “re-creating” some of Nancy’s recordings from her album with Cannonball Adderley. One of the many albums that changed me.
The mp3 in this post is definitely “early Planet” (my first album) and you can hear some of Nancy’s influence, jamming on the straight tones….yikes!
